Course Outline
Mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse is being introduced to Ireland. This course aims to:
- provide clear information to counsellors and psychotherapists working with adult survivors of child sexual abuse regarding their legal obligations to report retrospective allegations
- explore strategies to manage the impact on the therapeutic relationship.
The course is participative and experiential and includes presentations, small group work and role plays. Extensive hand-outs are provided.
