Owning the Shadow (Revised)
This 7-day fully residential workshop – presented by the Fool’s Dance Gestalt Company at the Slí an Chroí Centre, Kiltegan, Co. Wicklow from July 5th to July 11th, 2015 – offers an opportunity to:
- Reconnect with our shadow self, the carrier of those parts of ourself that we have banished and repressed.
- Take back and integrate the negative aspects of ourselves that we have projected onto others.
What approach will be used? This is an experiential workshop. We will work with humour and respect using creative approaches such as drama, art, movement, meditation and play combined with Gestalt process to discover the connection between our antipathies towards others and our own inner material.
Who is this workshop for? This workshop is open to all. We hope that it will be especially useful to psychotherapists and other helping professionals in their work.
