CPD: An Emotive Understanding of Substance Addiction & Dual Diagnosis Through Music
Dear Professional,
Endorsed by the HSE and part of the drug treatment therapy in Mountjoy prison, since 2009 The Harmony Program has been delivering music-based substance misuse education, prevention and rehabilitation workshops around Ireland, with a strong focus on dual diagnosis – co-occurring substance addiction and mental health.
The Harmony Program is delighted to offer a day of Continuing Professional Development on Saturday 4th February 2017 in Clonmel Co. Tipperary. Please find the attached details on the training. A certificate of attendance will awarded to each participant.
Currently most mental health services and addiction treatment centres in Ireland are currently not organised to treat people with dual diagnosis holistically. The UK Dept. of Health reported that:74% of users of drug services and 85% of users of alcohol services experienced mental health problems while 44% of mental health service users reported drug use.
To secure a place, please send a deposit of €20 euro made payable to The Harmony Program, to
Harmony House, 19 Ard Caoin, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
