QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) Gatekeeper Training for Suicide Prevention is an educational program designed by Dr Paul Quinnette (Author and Psychologist) in Washington. The approach is designed to teach lay and professional “gatekeepers” the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to respond. Gatekeepers can include anyone who is strategically positioned to recognize and refer someone at risk of suicide. The workshop will be delivered in an informative style and will be interactive in nature, allowing time for questions and answers. The workshop will support the attendees to attune to what is and is not being said and how to ask “the suicide question”.
