Care and the Shadow

Aims:

Debbie Hegarty and Matthew Henson invite you to join them for an interactive and experiential exploration of care and its shadow; specifically, the relationship between care for others and poor or non-existent self-care; a phenomenon that is both well-known and often ignored within the psychotherapy and counselling professions.

The workshop, which provides 21 certified CPD hours, is facilitated by two highly experienced, IAHIP registered, psychotherapists. They are also qualified psychotherapy trainers who work well together, bringing a balance of both female and male perspectives and energies to the group.

The event is for practising psychotherapists, counsellors and supervisors. From a humanistic integrative base, we will draw on a range of therapeutic traditions and methods, in solo reflection, pairs, small groups and the whole group, to attend to whatever emerges around this important theme. We will also create opportunities to relax, recharge and have fun.

Practicalities:

We will gather together at the Emmaus Retreat Centre, Dublin (www.emmauscentre.ie) on the morning of Friday 22 September 2017 and work through to Sunday afternoon.

Full price, including all meals and accommodation: €580

Early Bird (book by 4 August 2017): €530
