IAHIP UPDATE 22nd MAY 2020IAHIP OFFICE:
IAHIP continue to review the office and administration situation as the Covid-19 situation unfolds. A decision has been taken this week to allow limited access for some staff to the IAHIP office. With this change we can now resume processing applications for pre-accreditation, accreditation and re-accreditation. If you are waiting to submit any applications you can now forward these by post to the office – 40 Northumberland Avenue, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.
RETURN TO WORK:
There have been enquiries regarding a return to work from members in light of the government’s list of essential services. IAHIP cannot give specific guidance as to when individual members can return to work. This decision lies with employers, and those who are self-employed, taking the necessary precautions and adhering to government, HSE and Health & Safety Authority (HSA) guidelines
For members considering a return to work, we strongly recommend that you familiarise yourself with the ‘Return to work safely protocol’ booklet and adhere to their guidelines in order to ensure your own safety and the safety of your clients. This booklet can be accessed here: https://dbei.gov.ie/en/Publications/Return-to-Work-Safely-Protocol.html
The current list of essential service providers under public health guidelines can be accessed below and under Human Health and Social Work Activities, therapy is listed (if essential). https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/dfeb8f-list-of-essential-service-providers-under-new-public-health-guidelin/#human-health-and-social-work-activities
