Join us on Friday March 31st for an exploration of Rob’s most recent book Lacan and the End Times. In the Name of the Absent Father. A native of Dublin and a practicing and supervisory psychoanalyst, Rob for over four decades has been an active member of the emergent and contemporary psychoanalytic community in Ireland. This seminar is an opportunity to recognise Rob’s work and consider his most recent book which draws from psychoanalysis, philosophy, theology, and cultural and critical theory to consider some of the most serious and consequential issues of our time. The book explores themes of the father and connections to modern society and mental health. Rob’s deep concerns about the state of our world are inspiring, stimulating, and provocative.
In the seminar, Rob will introduce the book and read several extracts. This will be followed by a conversation about the book’s themes and Q&A with the audience. Copies of Rob’s book will be available for sale.
